A trans-derivational search can be said to occur where vague suggestions are used that a client must process intensely to find their own meanings for. The clients mind searches for the answer and the process is often reflected in a client when observing wild eye patterns as they search for the answer using their visual cortex.
Brought about by using leading statements eg – ‘And those thoughts that you had yesterday…..’ and by using textual ambiguity eg – ‘Do you remember line dancing on the steps?’
