How To Get Through Blue Monday

Today is January 18th – often referred to as Blue Monday, the most depressing day of the year. But why is this? It’s thought that people’s moods are negatively affected by the cold and wet weather, the state of their finances after Christmas and by the thought of just how long it is to go until summer.

So what can you do to combat the blues today? There’s a lot you can try to help get you in a better frame of mind, such as eating well, getting some exercise, giving friends and family a quick call, avoiding alcohol (or drinking sensibly if you can’t avoid it altogether), and talking to someone about how you’re feeling.
